Upgrading to GLD^TM Version 2012

Depending on your previous version, you may be asked to reformat your key.  After you download and install the GLD2012 download version, please follow these step-by-step instructions for updating your license key:

1. Attach your current license key (USB Hardware Key) to your computer's USB Port;
2. Allow the key to be recognized by your computer.
3. Navigate to C:Program Files/Gaia Geothermal/GLD2012/Extras;
4. Run the executable file: FirmWareUpdate.exe
   (while the license key is attached to the computer;)
5. Wait for completion.  Look for an "Update Success" screen
6. In the same folder, next run the executable file:  GLDLicenseUpdater.exe
   In the dialog box presented, choose the Collect Key Status tab and press the Collect information button to query your key.  Save the file in the form:  "yourcompanyname".c2v to any location on your computer (note the location) and then email it as an attachment to:
   
   sales@groundloopdesign.com;
7. We will respond promptly with a key activation code file to apply to your hardware key.
8. After receiving the code file via email, save the file to any location on your computer (note the location) and please do NOT change the file name.
9. Attach your current license key (USB Hardware Key) to your computer's USB Port;
10. Allow the key to be recognized by your computer.
11.  Navigate to C:Program Files/Gaia Geothermal/GLD2012/Extras;
12. Run the executable file:  GLDLicenseUpdater.exe
    In the dialog box presented, choose the Apply License Update tab. 
13. Navigate to the location of the file that was emailed to you using the navigation button displayed in the Apply License Update Tab.
14. Click the "Apply Update" button.  When the "update written successfully" message appears, the process will be complete and you may begin using your new GLD2012.

PLEASE NOTE:  Since GLD uses a key protection system, the key profile is programmed specifically to your installation of the current product.  It is not possible to use both the previous version and the new version at the same time since the key will be programmed to recognize only the current version.  A previous version may still be installed on your system but it will revert to a trial mode of operation.
